MyLingerie web shop launched

MyLingerie wanted to extend their web presence to include a web shop with comprehensive functionality that would be attractive to online shoppers. pedrowebdesign completely re-engineered the MyLingerie website to provide the extensive functionality online shoppers take for granted today. We used the open source Magento ecommerce platform to provide a rich experience that includes:

  • Comprehensive product options filtering (eg by size, colour, brand, price)
  • Related products (essential for lingerie where customers almost always want a matching bra and briefs)
  • Online secure payment options (we used PayPal to handle customer credit cards securely)
  • Sale campaign options
  • SSL certificate based security so that information entered by customers is encrypted before passing from the browser to our servers (the "padlock" in the browser address bar)

We have also inorporated the latest search engine optimisation techniques including "rich snippets" that ensure individual products can be found through, say, Google, including the price in the search results, thereby increasing traffic to the site.

You can see the result at mylingerie-buntingford.co.uk.

Gamplan website

We recently launched the website for Gamplan Assoicates, Chartered Town Planners & Development Consultants. You can see it at www.gamplan.co.uk.

We've relaunched our website with a much more modern look and feel to it. Have a look around!

Our site

We've had fun creating our site, using a mix of features so you can see different approaches in one place. This will help you see some general features you like or dislike (for example, light and dark backgrounds).

Most of the site is what's called "responsive". Resize the page or look at it on your PC or phone and you'll see the content reorganise itself to make the best use of the screen available (look at what happens to the menu for example). Unfortunately, Internet Explorer versions 8 and earlier don't really support these features.

We'll be making regular changes to the site as new techniques become available so be sure to come back and see what's changed!
